DESCRIPTION:Kirk Forbes\, MBA  \nI am originally from Indiana and have been a resident of Sun City Center\, Florida\, for the past four years. \nI earned my degrees from Purdue University: a bachelor’s in Professional Pilot Technology and an MBA. \nMy professional career includes 29 years in sales management\, followed by 20 years as a corporate jet pilot before retirement. During that time\, I accumulated over 9\,900 hours of flight experience and earned my Air Transport Pilot (ATP) rating. \nMy passion for aviation started in 1968 when I joined the Civil Air Patrol (CAP) in Indiana. This early experience inspired me to pursue my Private Pilot license at age 16. I participated in CAP throughout junior high and high school for three years\, and later returned as a senior member after college. That foundation ultimately led to a rewarding career flying corporate jets. \nRecently\, I was motivated to help establish a new Civil Air Patrol squadron in the Wimauma/Sun City Center area (officially launched in October 2025 as the Wimauma/Sun City Center Cadet Squadron). The goal is to provide meaningful opportunities—such as aerospace education\, leadership training\, flight orientation\, and community service—to the region’s large population of disadvantaged teenagers\, helping them build character\, skills\, and confidence through this outstanding youth development program.

DESCRIPTION:                                                                      ADM C. Kenneth Carodine\, USN (Ret.) \n A 1982 graduate of the United States Naval Academy at Annapolis\, Maryland\, Ken Carodine is the first officer and sailor from a family of military veterans. He earned a Master of Science in Information Systems from the University of Texas at Dallas in 1994. Originally from Huntsville\, Alabama\, Carodine is only the second African American Navy Flag Officer in the history of the State of Alabama\, and the 25th in the history of the US Navy. Carodine retired from the US Navy in October 2013. Carodine received his designation as a Surface Warfare Officer in 1983\, less than one year after commissioning. During Operations Desert Shield/Desert Storm combat operations\, he served as a Battle Force Watch Captain directing air and surface assets in the prosecution of enemy patrol boats\, and as the Force Over-theHorizon Track Coordinator preventing friendly-fire incidents in the Northern Arabian Gulf. The Navy selected Carodine for promotion to Rear Admiral in 2009. As a Navy Flag Officer\, he commanded the US Navy Warfare Development Center leading the research and documentation of new uses of currently deployed sensors and weapons. Following his tour of duty at NWDC\, Carodine joined the US Navy’s Headquarters Staff in the Pentagon where he formulated and executed policy in the areas of information technology implementation\, personnel management\, and National Security. Carodine’s civilian career includes information technology executive leadership for several large firms to include United Healthcare\, Health Care Service Corporation and Citibank. His IT background spans application development\, analytics\, and data management. He most recently led Citibank’s Enterprise Data Quality organization\, a team of over 150 executives\, managers and individual contributors located in seven countries and five timezones. Also\, a published fiction author\, Carodine writes novels centered on naval personnel and technology in today’s dynamic world. DESCRIPTION:COL Roland J Tiso was commissioned as Second Lieutenant of Infantry\nfrom the Virginia Military Institute in 1973. His 31-year military \ncareer included command of infantry companies in Korea and the\nUnited States\, the 1 st Battalion\, 508 th Airborne Infantry in Panama\,\nand United States Task Force Sinai\, Multi-National Force &\nObservers in Egypt. He was the Chief of War Plans Division\, U.S.\nCentral Command in 1996-97\, and one of the primary planners of\nthe Iraq War Plan. He was the Executive Officer to the\nCommander of U.S. Central Command\, 1998-2000. A graduate of\nthe U.S. Army War College\, the Command & General Staff College\,\nand the Armed Forces Staff College\, Colonel Tiso saw combat\naction in Korea\, Panama\, Somalia\, Iraq\, and Afghanistan. He was\nselected by the Secretary of the Army as a Distinguished Member\nof the 506 th Infantry Regiment in 2022\, and inducted into the U.S.\nArmy National ROTC Hall of Fame in 2024. Retired from defense\ncontracting in 2020\, he has since authored a memoir of his\nmultinational experiences in the Middle East and the war in Iraq.\nHe and his wife Judie reside in Valrico\, Florida. \n  \nOur delicious meal:

DESCRIPTION:Danny Alvarez \nFlorida House of Repesentatives \nDaniel Antonio “Danny” Alvarez serves as a Republican member for the 69th district of the Florida House of Representatives.   Alvarez was born in Miami\, Florida. He attended the University of Florida\, Troy University\, Stetson University College of Law\, and the University of Miami School of Law. He served in the United States Army.   In August 2022\, Alvarez defeated Megan Petty in the Republican primary election for the 69th district of the Florida House of Representatives. In November 2022\, he defeated incumbent Andrew Learned of District 69 in the general election\, winning 57 percent of the votes. He currently serves on the following committees: Criminal Justice Subcommittee (Chair)\, Security & Threat Assessment Committee (Vice Chair)\, Judiciary Committee\, Insurance & Banking Subcommittee\,  Justice Budget Subcommittee\, and Transportation & Economic Development Budget Subcommittee.

From\n1998 to 2015\, she was a political analyst for WFLA News Channel 8 (Tampa’s NBC affiliate).\nSince 2016\, Dr. MacManus has been the political analyst for ABC Action News (Tampa’s ABC affiliate).\nShe is a featured columnist on sayfiereview.com\, a widely read Florida-based political website\, and has\nappeared on every major broadcast and cable television and radio network. Dr. MacManus is Florida’s\nmost-quoted political scientist. She is not affiliated with any political party.  Dr. MacManus has authored or\nco-authored numerous publications on Florida politics\, including Florida’s Minority Trailblazers: The Men and\nWomen Who Changed the Face of Florida Government\, Politics in Florida\, Young v. Old:Generational Combat\nin the 21stCentury\, and Targeting Senior Voters.
